A few amazing things we have been up to this year:
We joined forces with Darvel Improvement Group to host an Easter Egg Hunt in Lanfine Estate. We had an excellent turn out on the day, and the weather stayed dry!
Newmilns Food Festival was a resounding success, beating last year’s visitor numbers - there was lots of fun, food and drink to be had! We are already planning next year's Food Festival which is scheduled for Saturday, 15th September 2018.
We announced the NRA office is to be at the Old Post Office on Brown Street, with work already underway to improve the building with the hopes of opening mid-2018.
Our lovely red planters that are dotted around Newmilns have been replenished, really brightening up Newmilns.
Our Christmas Fayre was held on Sunday, 19th November at the Morton Hall. There were 40 stalls all selling amazing gifts and we had The Newmilns & Galston Brass Band playing outside to welcome guests, plus a wonderful band singing Christmas songs inside the hall. A wonderful day!
Lastly, we would like to thank all of the volunteers who made everything possible for us this year, without them none of our events would have been able to take place.
If you are interested in joining our committee as a Trustee or a volunteer, please get in touch. We are a friendly bunch and have ongoing projects including the Food Festival, Craft Fayre, Townscape Heritage, Easter Egg Hunt, Heritage Group and Christmas Fayre.
We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Roll on 2018.
