Newmilns Regeneration Association is a voluntary organisation concerned with preserving the heritage of Newmilns and promoting regeneration within the town.
Our Mission
Newmilns Regeneration Association has produced an Action Plan which sets out the priorities for the development of Newmilns over the next five years, as determined by the community through an extensive process of community engagement organised and led by local community organisations and local residents.
Our latest Community Action Plan 2022-2027 was created by gathering up community views.

The 2026 Annual General Meeting of Newmilns Regeneration Association will take place on Monday, 23 November, in the CHaT Hub, 4 Brown Street at 7 pm.
As Remembrance Sunday approaches, we take time to reflect on the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women who served our country, and particularly those from Newmilns and Greenholm who never returned home. Standing proudly on Main Street, in front of Lady Flora’s Institute, the Newmilns War Memorial has been a place of remembrance for more than a century. Unveiled in September 1922 by the Rt. Hon. Alexander Shaw, the memorial was funded by public subscription, with local residents coming together to create a lasting tribute to those who lost their lives during the First World War. Featuring a Highland soldier sculpted by Glasgow artists Scott & Rae, it provided grieving families with a dedicated place to remember their loved ones. The memorial commemorates 138 local men who lost their lives during the First World War (1914–1918), with a further 40 names added following the Second World War (1939–1945).
