COMMUNITY LITTER PICK
Come along and help us keep Newmilns clean, tidy and welcoming for everyone.
When: Saturday 28th March
Time: 10 am - 12 noon
Where: Meeting at CHaT Hub, 4 Brown Street
Our annual community litter pick is a great chance for people of all ages to get involved, meet others in the community, and make a real difference to our town. Volunteers will be given areas across Newmilns and all equipment, gloves and high-visibility vests will be provided. Just bring yourself, wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, and help us show some pride in our community.
Let’s work together to make Newmilns sparkle.

NEWMILNS & GREENHOLM COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT

When: Saturday 4th April
Time: 10.00 am - 12 noon
Where: Meeting at Loudoun Church Hall
Join us for a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt for the whole family. Children of all ages are invited to hunt for colourful, candy-filled eggs hidden around the event area. Make sure to bring your baskets and your best egg-hunting skills.
After the hunt, stay and enjoy light refreshments, snacks, and drinks while catching up with friends, neighbours, and other families in the community.
There will also be an exciting raffle with some great prizes up for grabs, so don’t forget to take part. It’s set to be a lovely day filled with laughter, treats and plenty of springtime fun for everyone.

NEWMILNS SHOW
A long-standing agricultural and rural event held on the first Saturday of June.
When: Saturday 6th June
Time: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm (approx.)
Where: Lower Showfield, Loudoun Castle
The show features a variety of livestock competitions, horse classes, horticulture, handicrafts, trade stands and family entertainment. It is a celebration of the area's farming heritage and community spirit and attracts visitors from across the region.

NEWMILNS GALA DAY
Newmilns Gala Day is one of the highlights of the summer calendar and forms part of Newmilns Gala Week.
When: Saturday 26th July
Time: 12.00 noon - 5.00 pm (approx)
Where: Jamieson Park to Greenside
The parade will assemble at Jamieson Park and leave at 12 noon, making its way through the town to Greenside. The afternoon programme at Greenside will include entertainment, stalls, activities and family attractions.

SPOOKY HALLOWEEN TRAIL
Get ready for a frightfully fun evening on our Spooky Halloween Trail.
When: Friday 30th October
Time: 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm
Where: Registration at NRA CHaT Hub, 4 Brown Street
Follow the trail, discover themed stops along the way, and enjoy plenty of Halloween surprises. Dress up in your best spooky costume and join us for a thrilling night of community fun.
We can’t wait to see all the ghosts, ghouls, and little monsters there.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE & LIGHT SWITCH ON
Join us as Newmilns officially starts the festive season with our annual Christmas Fayre and Light Switch-On.

NEWMILNS PANTO - PUSS IN BOOTS
The annual Newmilns Panto promises an evening of laughter, music and family entertainment.
When: Monday, 30th November
Time: 7.00 pm
Where: Morton Hall
Expect colourful costumes, lively audience participation and plenty of festive fun for all ages.
This year’s production of Puss in Boots is brought to you by Newmilns & Greenholm Community Council, with the show produced by Geez a Break Productions.

HOGMANAY CEILIDH
Celebrate the end of the year with a night of traditional music and dancing. Live music by Fala Music, with caller-led dances ensuring everyone can take part.
When: Thursday 31st December
Time: 7.30 pm - 12.30 am
Where: Morton Hall
Whether you are an experienced dancer or trying it for the first time, this promises to be an enjoyable and welcoming evening for all ages. Includes a popular raffle and buffet to enjoy during the evening.
